Smart City Tours

KNS Communications is hosting a tour of Panasonic’s Smart City (CityNow) located off I-70 and Pena Blvd on June 26 and June 28, 2018. The tour will show us a glimpse of how they are transforming the city of the future with technology. With street lights that broadcast Wi-Fi, monitor air quality and use sensor technology for autonomous vehicles. CityNow is a display of available technology and how it can be used in a city ecosystem. It is modeled after the 1,000 resident Japanese town of Fujisawa SST developed by Panasonic. Ultimately Pena Station will become this – our very own smart city in Colorado. You can learn more at https://bit.ly/2Fv25Sm.

CityNow is a Public/Private Partnership supported by the city of Denver, DIA, LC Fulenwider, CDOT, Xcel Energy and Panasonic to name a few. Pena Station is a 400-acre development expected to be completed by 2026.

The lifeblood of a smart city is the wireless network. KNS Communications Consultant’s has been specializing in outdoor wireless network design since 1979.
